B/W&Read 0.5: Contested Ground #1
A football zine by punks/ex-punks and fellow travelers, Contested Ground is about the crossover and contradictions between DIY punk culture and football culture.

Issue #1 is limited to 150 copies with a free sticker, and features:

Who we were:

B/W & Read was a small press rooted in the punk and hardcore community. We released our only book in the summer of 2015 - a complete anthology of the Say It Right Writers Circle. We also published several zines, which you can find on this blog as PDF's.

Please be aware that this wasn't a business. BW&R was run for fun and to share stuff we thought was worth sharing and was based out of old shoe boxes in our bedrooms. It quickly became apparent that whilst publishing was fun, selling wasn't. BW&R donated the distro to Suspect Device and gave remaining hard copy zines to the authors we worked with in the spring of 2017 - and wound up the small press.
